Not every creature has the same role
The developer interview describes the Sift as an ecosystem that exists independently of the player. Do not assume that everything seen on screen is an enemy, or that a creature’s appearance tells you whether it can be tamed.
We leave unidentified creatures unnamed. Community nicknames can be useful in discussion, but should be labelled as such instead of quietly becoming database entries.
Environmental mechanics
The reveal calls out shifting tides that affect characters and surroundings, together with hazardous blocks. Exact timing, damage values, resistances and item interactions are not documented here.
When examining footage, separate an environmental event from a player ability or an enemy attack. A repeatable test in an identified build is needed before writing a reliable counterplay guide.
Our threshold for a bestiary entry
- An official name, or a clearly marked temporary description.
- The game, edition and build in which it was observed.
- A source for behavior, with uncertainty preserved.
- Separate evidence for health, damage and drops.
A missing value stays missing. We do not fill a stat table with guessed numbers just to make it look complete.
Dungeons II gear is not vanilla equipment
The developer interview discusses four armor pieces and talismans with passive effects. These are Dungeons II systems. They are not confirmation that Java or Bedrock will use the same equipment layout.
